Installation

  1. Log in to your Shopify store;
  2. Click Apps and click Visit the Shopify App Store;
  3. Search QBot;
  4. Click Add app;
  5. Install app;
  6. Click 14 Day Free Trial to subscribe the billing plan (you can cancel any time);
  7. Click Start Free Trial to approve subscription; 
  8. Arrive Acobot Thank you page with the brief instruction about QBot;
  9. Read the brief instruction and set up your QBot;
  10. Go to Dashboard and click the toggle button for Chatbot to enable the widget.
Note: If you already registered on acobot.ai with your email address, please follow the instruction to check your inbox for further installation information.

Access QBot Dashboard

You can always access the dashboard of QBot through your Shopify Store.
  1. Log in to your Shopify store;
  2. Click Apps and click QBot;
  3. You'll be brought to the dashboard of your QBot.
  4. You can then either set up it for your store or view the recent statistics.

Create General FAQ

We have prepared a list of common questions that your customers may have. By editing the answer templates, you can build your own FAQs quickly.
  1. Go to the Dashboard of QBot and go to FAQs – General;
  2. For the FAQs that fit for the store, click the Edit icon;
  3. Modify the answer;
  4. Under Status, choose Published if the FAQ is ready;
  5. Save. 

Create Custom FAQ

You can also add more FAQs specific to your website, which are not covered by the common questions above.
  1. Go to the Dashboard of QBot and go to FAQs – Custom;
  2. Click New Custom FAQ;
  3. Ener your question and answer;
  4. Under Categories, select a category (and sub-category if needed) and click Add category;
  5. If you want to name a new sub-category, enter the name under Tags for FAQs classification;
  6. Under Status, choose Published if the FAQ is ready;
  7. Save.

Add FAQ Page to Your Store

With QBot, a beautiful FAQ page will be automatically added to your Shopify store. You can then add it to your website menu, with the general and custom FAQs created above.

  1. Go to the Dashboard of QBot;
  2. In the first block with store URL, you will see the link for FAQs page such as “/pages/faqs”;
  3. Click Add to menu and go to your Shopfiy Store Admin;
  4. Under Online store - Navigation, choose a menu to which you’d like to add FAQs;
  5. Click Add menu item;
  6. Under name, type FAQs or the like for the name of your FAQ page; 
  7. Under Link, click the search box and choose Page - FAQs;
  8. Save menu.
  9. Go to your store and find the new added FAQ link under the menu to view the FAQ page.

Enable/Disable Search Box on FAQ Page

With Search box enabled, it displays relevant questions instantly while your customers are typing a keyword in search box.
  1. Go to the Dashboard of QBot;
  2. Click on the toggle button beside Search to enable or disable the search box.

Customize QBot Widget on Your Store

  1. Go to the Dashboard of QBot;
  2. Click Settings – Widget;
  3. Color: select a background color to match your store;
  4. Devices: decide if QBot will be displayed on desktop and/or mobile devices;
  5. Layout: decide where QBot widget will be displayed on your store – left or right;
  6. Style: select a style for QBot widget on desktop.

Set Up Your Support Email

Your support email is used to create a support ticket and sends it to your inbox when customers don't find the answers they need and provide their email addresses to the chatbot.
  1. Go to the Dashboard of QBot;
  2. Click Settings – Support Email;
  3. Click the Edit icon and enter your email.
  4. Save.

Keep Your FAQs Up-to-date

When you add, edit or delete your FAQs, it takes several hours for the changes to take effect in your widget or FAQ page. If you want to update your FAQs as soon as possible, you can let your QBot learn after you make changes.
  1. Go to the Dashboard of QBot;
  2. Click on icon beside Last Learning.
  3. Then your QBot will start learn the changes to FAQs.

Enable QBot Widget on Your Store

  1. Go to the Dashboard of QBot;
  2. Click on the toggle button beside Chatbot to enable the QBot widget.
  3. Go to your store (refresh the webpage if necessary) and you will see the QBot widget displays as a question mark icon.

Disable QBot Widget on Your Store

  1. Go to the Dashboard of QBot;
  2. Click on the toggle button beside Chatbot to disable the QBot widget.
  3. Go to your store (refresh the webpage if necessary), the QBot widget will be not displayed on your store.

Downgrade Subscription Plan from Pro to Free

  1. Go to the Dashboard of QBot;
  2. Click Settings – Billing;
  3. Click Downgrade to change your subscription plan;
  4. The QBot widget will be not available on your store.

Upgrade Subscription Plan from Free to Pro

  1. Go to the Dashboard of QBot;
  2. Click Settings – Billing;
  3. Click Upgrade to Pro to change your subscription plan;
  4. Select Yearly or Monthly plan;
  5. Approve your subscription on Shopify store;
  6. Customize your QBot widget according to the instructions if needed.
  7. Go to dashboard to enable the QBot widget.
