Engagement

Engagement

The engagement settings decide how Acobot interacts with shoppers, either online or off-line. There are three basic settings: name, cart recovery and remarketing.

Assisted Shopping

Basic

AI Name

By default, the AI is named Aco. You can re-name it to better fit your brand image. Here are some tips on naming your AI.

  1. Consider your brand.
  2. Use a single word that is typically considered as a name.
  3. Merge your brand name into a single word as necessary.
  4. Avoid general words like “Hello.”
  5. Avoid names like “Bot” or “Chatbot.”

However you may consider to create news by combine your brand name with –bot, for example, OlivaBot, assuming your brand is Oliva.

Behavior

Acobot may interact with shoppers in two modes.

  1. Active: Acobot greets your website visitors and offers to actively help them (default).
  2. Passive: Acobot shows only a floating action button. It does not interact with shoppers unless they tap the button.

Acobot delivers more conversions, leads and sales when working in active mode in comparison to passive mode. We recommend you keep active mode on, unless you have a sound reason to change it.

Add to Cart

Acobot may interact with shoppers in two modes after guiding them to a product page.
  1. On: Acobot takes your website visitors to a product in which they're  interested, guide them to select the product options and add it to cart for checkout (default).
  2. Off: Acobot takes your website visitors to a product in which they're  interested, and let them add the product to cart by themselves.
We recommend you keep Add to Cart on, unless you have a sound reason to change it.

Exit

The exit engagement feature is only applied to desktop.

Acobot detects the exit intention of desktop shoppers and engages them through popups before they leave your website. The exit engagement enables Acobot to garner sales leads and then deliver more results through cart recovery and email marketing.

You may choose a background for the exit popup. Our research reveals these eye-catching patterns or pictures may boost sales leads by 30%.

Cart Recovery

Acobot Cart Recovery feature is fully automated. No setup is required. You just need to enable from the dashbaord. Acobot will then start recovering abandoned carts for you. If you already use other apps to send cart recovery emails, you may disable this Acobot feature to avoid duplicate efforts. However, Acobot can easily replace these apps because overall, it may recover more abandoned carts by transforming more anonymous visitors into tracked shoppers and continuously optimizing recovery emails for your business by itself.

Email Marketing

Setting up email sequences for off-site remarketing now requires just one simple decision – determining the interval of check-in. This is the amount of time that Acobot waits before sending a check-in email to shoppers who have not interacted with your brand again since they left your website. You may choose one of the following values based on the nature of your business.

  1. 1 week
  2. 2 weeks
  3. 1 month
  4. 2 months

Generally, choose a shorter interval if you sell consumer goods that are frequently updated and the purchase does not involve a complex decision. For example, you may choose "1 week" for your t-shirt store. If you sell expensive items like luxury watches, “2 months” would be better.

Once you have chosen a check-in interval, Acobot is ready to create personalized emails for each shopper based on their shopping history.
